Fake warnings pose as Microsoft, your bank or an antivirus program and ask you to call or pay.
Don't enter passwords or card details
On a laptop you think is infected, don't log in to online banking or email.
Change your passwords from another device
If you recently typed passwords on that laptop, change them from your phone or another computer.
Don't install several antivirus programs at once
Two antivirus programs on the same computer can get in each other's way.

A fresh Windows installation, when it's the better route
Sometimes it's safer to install Windows again than to clean the existing system. A fresh installation wipes the drive, so we only do it once you approve. We install Windows on a licence you already have.
If you need to keep documents and photos, tell us when you call. We also do data transfer and backups.
How much does laptop virus removal cost?
The price depends on what we find and what needs doing: removal only, or a fresh Windows installation. Our prices are in the price list, and we give you the final price after the check. We only start work once you confirm it.

Questions about virus removal
Will I lose my data?
We can't promise that in advance. It depends on what the malware did and whether Windows needs a fresh installation. When you call, tell us what you need to keep.
Will the laptop be completely clean afterwards?
We remove the malware we find. Nobody can promise a laptop will never get infected again: it also depends on what gets opened and installed on it.
Do you install an antivirus program?
No. For protection, we rely on what's already built into Windows.
Can a virus be removed remotely?
We also fix some problems remotely, without taking the laptop in. We agree by phone whether that's possible in your case.
Do you pick up the laptop?
We collect your computer or laptop from your address for free, from Trogir to Omiš, within 30 km. We agree the place and time by phone. Outside that area, you can send us the device by post.
